Designed for professional installers, this system works perfectly under tiles or natural stone and can also be embedded in a latex/self-levelling compound beneath any floor type. At just 2mm thick, it is the thinnest heating element available, ensuring full wall-to-wall heat coverage. This makes it an excellent option for small spaces like WCs, bathrooms, or wet rooms.

Each wire is rated at 12W per linear meter and provides 200W per sqm when spaced 60mm apart. Our largest loose cable, at 200m long, covers 12sqm at 60mm spacings. For larger areas, you may need multiple thermostats or a 25A or 40A relay depending on the electrical load.

Easy Installation

The loose wires can be installed directly on stable wood, concrete, or screed subfloors. To maximize efficiency and heating response, we recommend using a cement-coated tile backer board or XPS insulation board. Proper insulation minimizes heat loss, especially in older properties. The heating should then be embedded in a self-levelling compound or flexible tile adhesive before the final flooring is installed.

Electric vs. Water Underfloor Heating

A common misconception is that electric underfloor heating is costly to run compared to water-based systems. In reality, when controlled correctly, electric heating is highly efficient. Unlike water systems, which rely on air sensors, electric underfloor heating should always use a floor sensor. This allows for faster, more responsive heating.

Electric heating warms the space from the floor up to six feet, eliminating wasted heat at the ceiling—unlike radiators. Additionally, it provides a sleek, radiator-free design. Covering 80% or more of the floor ensures that the system can serve as the sole heating source. For primary heating, we recommend a 200W system paired with insulation.

Alternatively, electric heating can also serve as a comfort system, providing warmth to specific areas while complementing other heating sources.
