Our Aluminium Foil Heating Mat is an energy-efficient solution ideal for Laminate and Wood floors.
It’s also compatible with low-profile ‘Click’ floors like Vinyl, LVT, and Amtico with built-in underlay.
Its foil casing enhances heat conductivity, ensuring fast response times and even heat distribution.
Unlike 150/200w R-Mats or Loose Wire Cables, it doesn’t require embedding in adhesive or latex.
Rated at 150w/m², we offer the UK’s largest range of sizes—up to 12m² (0.5m wide x 24m long). For areas over 12m², multiple mats can be installed.
Recommended with this system:
- XPS Insulation Boards – for LVT/Vinyl floors
- Impact Plus Insulation – for Laminate and Wood floors
Ensure the mat is laid on a solid, level subfloor. We also supply a two-part self-levelling compound to prepare the surface before installation.
The Importance of Insulation
The Aluminium UFH Foil Mat is quick and easy to install, floating beneath the final floor with no need for a self-levelling compound.
Important: Do not lay the mat directly onto concrete or wood subfloors. Without proper insulation, heat-up times and the product warranty may be compromised.
Our Aluminium Foil Heating Mat is also safe for use in bathrooms and wet rooms when installed beneath waterproof flooring.
For Laminate or Wood floors, install 6mm Impact Plus Insulation before laying the Foil mat.
To raise floor height (e.g., to meet thresholds), add a layer of 6, 10, 20, or 30mm XPS Thermal Boards beneath the Impact Plus Insulation.
For rubber-backed click floors (LVT, Vinyl, Amtico), use only XPS Thermal Boards.
